Herbal medicine

Herbal medicine is the oldest form of healthcare known to man and involves the use of herbs for their therapeutic or medicinal value.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 4 billion people, 80 percent of the world population, presently use herbal medicine for some aspect of primary health care.

The medicines prescribed may well be made up of several different herbs, and will be tailored to individual needs. These may be recommended as herbs that can be bought already mixed.

Alternatively a personal prescription can be made up by a medical herbalist colleague.
